Description
Casting lead actors for the web drama <Is That Right?> ‼️ Important Notice We are reposting this because the format of the show has been completely changed. We are not simply “casting actors”; we are looking for partners who will help this project grow with us. The Season 1 script is currently in progress, and this is an expandable project that will share its universe with other works to be produced in the future. If you may need to leave the project midway, please consider carefully before applying. (Filming will take place approximately once or twice a month.) We are looking for people who can join us long term. ────────────────────── About the Project Title: <Is That Right?> Genre: Sibling Debate Sitcom Platforms: YouTube, Naver TV Format: Short-form content linked to full episodes (Shorts: 60–90 seconds / Full episodes: 3–5 minutes) This is a short-form web drama that turns small issues from dating and everyday life into arguments between siblings. ────────────────────── Roles Available (Siblings) 🔹 Joo Se-ho (Male, late 20s / Applicants aged 34 or younger) The ultimate shameless character. A sophistic character who uses high-level vocabulary and logic to interpret every situation in his own favor. Able to perform sly, nonchalant facial expressions Able to deliver dialogue at a fast pace Someone who can bring out the flavor of pretending to be logical 🔹 Joo Se-yeon (Female, early to mid-20s / Applicants aged 30 or younger) A realist. She gets furious at her older brother’s absurd logic, yet she herself is subtly contradictory. Someone with lively reactions Someone with a good sense of timing Someone able to control both angry acting and comedic energy ────────────────────── Qualifications Experience not required Able to accommodate a regular filming schedule Thoroughly prepares scripts and is comfortable with improvised ad-libs Preference given to those capable of uninhibited chemistry like real siblings Able to participate in a long-term project (filming once or twice a month / schedules can be coordinated in advance) ────────────────────── Reference for the Tone of the Project (Sample Dialogue from Episode 8) These are excerpts from Scenes 1 and 3 of the Episode 8 script. Se-yeon: (disgusted) Hey, Joo Se-ho. Did you just like a photo of my friend Jisoo? You haven’t even spoken a word to Jisoo. This is one hundred percent you pretending to be interested, isn’t it? Se-ho: (without taking his eyes off his phone) This isn’t interest; it’s “algorithm optimization.” If there’s no interaction, we’re strangers in the digital world. Se-yeon: What are you talking about? How is selectively liking only girls’ photos optimization? You’re just hitting on them! Se-ho: This is “brand exposure.” It’s an advanced marketing strategy that displays a banner ad of my existence in the other person’s notification window. Se-yeon: (in disbelief) Call it advertising or whatever—you’re making the person who receives it think, “Is he interested in me?” and misunderstand! Se-ho: Misunderstanding is the consumer’s responsibility, and exposure is the producer’s duty. I’m merely enriching my feed. Se-yeon: (clutching the back of her neck) Hey, you idiot! Is that right? Se-yeon: (coming to her senses) Oh, please. Server maintenance, my foot. If what you’re saying is true, is the entire nation misunderstanding one another the algorithm’s victory? Se-ho: It’s less a victory than “coexistence in the digital ecosystem.” A single like can be a self-esteem supplement for someone. Se-yeon: (straining to make her point) Do you not think about the people who lose sleep because of that supplement? The ones writing whole stories like, “Why did he like it? Does he like me?” What are you going to do about them? Se-ho: That’s the “imagination of content consumers.” I only provided the source; they do the cooking themselves. Se-yeon: Oppa, please have some conscience. If liking things for no reason has become a habit, you’re looking at my Instagram following list right now, aren’t you? Se-ho: This is “market research.” I’m analyzing the lifestyles of the human resources around you and incorporating them into my future strategy. Se-yeon: (shouting) Hey!! What do you mean, my friends are a market? It’s because of guys like you that the formula “likes = a green light” was created, making the world exhausting! This is a project that creates comedy by twisting relatable real-life situations with sophistry and logic. ────────────────────── We’d Love to Hear from People Who Want to create the characters together rather than simply play them Are interested in growing the channel and able to share their opinions Can work as part of the team, rather than simply appearing on screen ────────────────────── This is a project where we will grow the universe together. We are waiting for people who want to think together about “Is That Right?”
