With a solid foundation in vocal technique and stage experience gained through majoring in Musical Theatre at Yong In University, Hong Sumin has consistently taken on leading and supporting roles in plays and musicals. In the 2024 play “Platform” (Suyeon), the play “Flower—The Seonbau Story,” and other productions, Hong Sumin delicately developed each character’s emotional arc while leading performances with stability. In 2025, through work on multiple films, Hong Sumin is expanding into screen acting by portraying a wide range of characters, from lawyers to young adults preparing for independent living. An adaptable actor, Hong Sumin draws on movement skills honed through Pilates, swimming, and acrobatics, as well as specialties such as the Gyeongsang dialect, to respond flexibly on set.
