I am Yunbit, a 21-year-old aspiring actor. My parents were the reason I started acting. From my third year of middle school, they consistently encouraged me to try acting because I had a good-looking face and a nice voice. I could not understand why I had to force myself to do something that required me to look good in front of other people, so I turned down their suggestions every time. Then, during the winter of my senior year of high school, my father, unable to stand by and watch any longer, submitted my middle school graduation photo to a casting notice for an extra. Surprisingly, the very next day, Kiana Entertainment contacted me after seeing the photo and proposed signing a contract. After learning that the company arranged filming opportunities and acting classes, I thought I might as well gain some experience and immediately signed a one-year contract. As I took acting classes and frequently went to film sets, I began to feel that this field suited me well. Although I had started acting so suddenly, I found it appealing to bring out the many different selves within me according to each situation. My acting teacher at the time advised me not to try to act, but to imagine the character's situation itself and respond naturally. Following that advice helped me improve and made acting even more enjoyable. Of all the productions I participated in, two remain the most memorable. One was the Netflix drama Extracurricular Lessons, and the other was Kkeujeok Kkeujeok's Iljin Contract. When I first filmed Extracurricular Lessons, repeatedly performing the same reaction over and over did not feel meaningful to me. However, I quickly adapted and realized that the repetition was necessary because every single reaction was important to the production. I began putting my full effort into even the smallest reactions. Perhaps as a result of those small efforts, I felt quite proud when I saw that I appeared in Extracurricular Lessons more often than I had expected. Kkeujeok Kkeujeok's Iljin Contract is a web drama uploaded to YouTube, and I remember it especially because I appeared as a school bully. Since I had not received any information about the situation or the script in advance, I went to the shoot with a relatively light heart, assuming I would have very little to do. However, the producer suddenly handed me a script, which left me extremely flustered. Because my role was fairly substantial, I was afraid I would keep making mistakes, but I hurriedly memorized the script I had just received on the spot and began filming. Contrary to my concerns, I adapted quickly as soon as filming began and made very few mistakes. As time passed, I also started to find playing a bully increasingly enjoyable. I was frequently praised on set, and I could feel my acting improving. It was a moment when I experienced a sense of pride for a long time. The part I remember most is adapting to an unexpected situation on set and coming to enjoy it. My contract with Kiana Entertainment ended in November 2025. I am currently under contract with Vision Agency, a company that provides extras, and continue to regularly attend shoots. Recently, I appeared as a member of the public in the historical drama Mumu, which is scheduled to air in November 2026. I will conclude by saying that I once thought of acting only as a means of looking good in front of others, but now regard it as my own form of expressive art. Thank you.
