Yu1L The name Yu1L embodies two meanings: “Youth underneath once Luminous,” a reflection of youth in its fleeting brilliance, and “one and only,” expressing a sense of individuality and uniqueness. Yu1L is a singer-songwriter who tells stories of youth through music, creating songs that resonate with the beauty, uncertainty, and emotions of life. Through her music, she hopes to offer a sense of empathy and comfort to anyone finding their own way through life. Her musical identity is not bound by genre. Moving freely between R&B, ballads, K-pop, jazz, and hip-hop, Yu1L brings versatility and individuality to every performance. Her vocals are defined by the seamless interplay between her natural voice and falsetto, creating a smooth, fluid, and intimate sound. With a delicate approach to emotional expression, she captures subtle feelings and translates them into honest and immersive performances. Yu1L made her vocal debut as a featured artist on “배꼽이 간지러워 (My Belly Button Itches)” by Dal Unnie & Mallang. She later released an EP featuring songs entirely written and composed by herself. Its title track, “Poppin’ Lemonade,” drew attention after being selected as a campaign song promoting voter participation by the Gyeonggi-do Election Commission in 2022. With her own voice and perspective, Yu1L continues to explore the many shades of youth, turning personal stories and emotions into music that connects with listeners.
