Hello. I am actor Jeong So-yeon. I want to become an actor who conveys people’s emotions as they are. Rather than relying on special settings or exaggeration, I have focused on sincerely expressing the natural moments we encounter in everyday life. I studied Korean traditional music at Dongguk University and music at the Graduate School of Education at Sangmyung University, learning how to express tradition, breath, and emotion through sound. This experience has also had a significant influence on my acting, serving as a foundation for understanding and expressing characters’ emotions more deeply. I am broadening my range of characters through various specialties, including the Gyeongsang-do dialect, taekwondo, and Gyeonggi folk songs, and I strive to act in a way that blends naturally into both stage and screen. In particular, through women’s gukgeuk and performance activities, I have developed the ability to connect directly with audiences and focus on the emotions of each moment. Rather than becoming a glamorous actor, I want to become an actor who is remembered for a long time. I will continue to reflect and work diligently so that, as a living, breathing character within each work, I can remain in someone’s memory like a real person. Thank you.
