I would be very grateful if you would give me even the opportunity to audition. Hello! I am actor Ha Hyeon-jeong. I think I am an ambitious, curious, and passionate person. If there is an opportunity to participate in work that I love, I want to experience anything. I find joy and strength in discovering and learning many things in new and diverse fields. Through acting, I have gained some of the greatest experiences of my life—experiences that cannot be exchanged for anything else. When I was 20, after seeing the teacher who taught me, I saved my tuition for two years and set off to study in Russia without hesitation. After that, to support myself, I worked various jobs, including as a guide, café employee, interpreter, and pub part-timer. Through experiencing these different professions, I was able to learn something different from each field, and all those moments became valuable assets to me. Thanks to acting, I think I have been able to live with something to focus on. It feels as though the number of things I can focus on in life gradually decreases, but whenever I act, I become so absorbed that I do not even notice my hunger, and I focus so deeply that I forget even when something hurts. In conclusion, I think acting is incredibly fun. I think it is wonderful and beautiful to see someone who truly enjoys their work, feels happy and confident while doing it, rather than focusing only on the result. I believe my strength is that actions matter more than words. My acting principle is: “Become someone who is truthful and unadorned.” Before becoming any kind of actor, I pledged to first become a genuine person, and I believe that how much one achieves depends on one’s talent and diligence. I felt that striving for personal gain or success can harm the whole, and that creation is possible only under the right circumstances. I have let go of worrying about how I appear to others. Because I gained many experiences while supporting myself alone during my studies in Russia, I believe my greatest strength is that, in a collaborative working environment, I can awaken diverse perspectives through creative ideas and freedom of expression.
