About
Hello, my name is Ye-jin Woo. I’m an actor from South Korea, born in 1997. I majored in acting in college and later pursued a master’s degree because I was interested in teaching acting. During graduate school, I wrote my thesis on the impact of trauma on an actor’s process of creating a character, and I graduated with a master’s degree. After working as an acting teacher for children, I realized that teaching wasn’t ultimately the path I wanted to pursue. I wanted to devote myself to acting, so I made the decision to leave teaching and focus fully on my career as an actor. I’m currently auditioning and pursuing acting opportunities. Although I began my acting career a little later than some, I believe that the time I’ve spent studying acting and growing as a person has never been wasted. All of those experiences have shaped the way I see people, stories, and characters, and I believe they will continue to inform my work as an actor. I’ve always been deeply interested in people, especially in what lies beneath the surface. I’m drawn to the parts of people that aren’t immediately visible—their contradictions, their vulnerabilities, and the truths they may try to hide. I want to be an actor who observes people closely, continues to question and explore what makes us human, and brings those hidden truths to life through my characters. It’s a pleasure to introduce myself, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to connect with you. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
