"I am actor Park Ji-won, painting the textures of diverse emotions on the canvas of brightness." My acting began with the image others saw in me: “a bright, energetic presence.” But behind that smile lies a strong inner self, shaped by the perseverance and solitude I built through years as a trainee, as well as countless challenges and failures. I do not simply aim to play bright characters. I pursue “multidimensional acting,” in which a character’s deficiencies, sadness, or emptiness can be felt through a fleeting glance or breath. Over the past two years, on the sets of web dramas, commercials, and short films, I learned how to respond quickly and bring out a character’s clear image. In dramas and films with longer arcs, I discovered the joy of building an emotional narrative while contemplating a character’s backstory. These experiences have given me the flexibility to quickly blend into any set, no matter what role I take on, along with the focus to never lose sight of the flow of a production. Above all, I am an actor with strong resilience. From my days as an idol trainee until now, the time I have spent working relentlessly toward my goals has become a rich database of emotions for me. From the passion of the dazzling stage to the quiet sense of loss behind it, I want to deliver profound performances grounded in the full range of emotions I have experienced firsthand, allowing audiences to empathize with a character’s pain. I will become actor Park Ji-won—not someone who simply memorizes and recites lines, but someone who can read a character’s narrative and express it.
