During my years performing on opera stages, my place was always below the stage. As I watched the actors onstage create stories and receive the audience’s applause, I began to feel that I, too, wanted to stand there someday. The emotion I felt in that moment, looking up at the stage from underground, remains vivid even now. That feeling was the clear turning point that led me to put down my instrument and begin acting. I am moving forward with the goal of becoming an actor who comes alive as a character onstage and breathes directly with the audience. My greatest strength is my ability to build smooth relationships within a team, enabling its members to work in harmony and achieve the best possible results. Before entering the Department of Acting, I majored in the classical woodwind instrument bassoon and minored in saxophone. While working with the Daegu MBC Symphony Orchestra and the Daegu Opera House, I experienced firsthand how important the balance and harmony of the entire team are in an orchestral environment where various instruments perform in concert on a single stage. Building on these experiences, I developed an attitude of actively communicating as a team member in any setting, working in harmony with those around me, and naturally finding ways for everyone to shine together.
