Hello I'm Jeha Park born and raised in Korea. I have what I like to call the voice of a well-fed cat. I think my image contains two very different sides: professional, articulate, and cool on one end, and rough around the edges, blunt, sensitive, and obsessive on the other. My acting process starts with digging deeply into the script. I take it apart, put it back together, and keep working on it until the character’s way of thinking begins to take root, both consciously and subconsciously. Once that happens, my own qualities start to blend into the character in different concentrations and textures, and the performance gradually takes shape in a natural way. The roles I’ve played reflect that range. I’ve played professionals in positions of authority who have somewhat twisted ways of thinking; characters who seem perfectly fine on the surface but carry a sense of sadness in their eyes; and more grounded, everyday characters where I could make use of my personality, rhythm, and way of speaking. Whenever I get an audition, I usually spend around 15 to 20 hours in a rehearsal room alone. If I include script analysis, memorization, and the countless hours spent reading the material over and over again, the actual preparation time is much longer. I tend to prepare extensively and explore many different possibilities before an audition, so I’m confident in both my work ethic and my ability to adapt quickly when the direction or approach to a performance changes.
