Personal Statement Hello. I am an applicant currently residing in Tokyo, Japan. For a long time, I have carried the dream of becoming an actor who moves and resonates with people. In practical terms, I have worked a regular job and gained experience in society, but my passion for acting has never faded. Rather, meeting a wide range of people and experiencing different cultures has helped me realize that rich life experience is one of the most important qualities for an actor. I have lived in a variety of environments, moving between Korea, Japan, and Australia. Adapting and communicating amid different cultures and values has helped me grow into a more flexible person with a broader perspective. I am not afraid to take on challenges in new environments, and I believe my ability to understand and empathize with others’ emotions is my greatest strength. I believe these experiences will also be a valuable asset in understanding and portraying diverse characters. I have always enjoyed observing people, and while watching films and dramas, I have naturally studied actors’ gazes, breathing, and emotional expressions. I also maintain healthy stamina and positive energy through regular exercise and self-care, and I approach every role with a willingness to keep learning and working hard. I believe an actor is not simply someone who delivers lines, but someone who lives out another person’s life and conveys genuine emotions to viewers. That is why I want to become an actor with solid fundamentals rather than pursuing flashy success. Even in a small role, I will give my very best, learn as much as possible on set, and continue to grow. For me, the dream of becoming an actor is not merely an admiration but a goal I have prepared for over many years. I do not believe it is too late. Drawing on the diverse life experiences, sincerity, and perseverance I have built up so far, I want to grow into an actor with greater authenticity than anyone else.
