Hello. I am actor Kim So-yeon. I am someone who simply wants to be an actor—without limiting myself by field, work, or character. I pursue works that draw me in, regardless of the field: film, drama, musicals, theater, performance art theater, and more. I respect what all actors achieve after the long hours of patience and discipline, and I, too, am constantly reflecting, observing, training, and striving to learn for that purpose. I love learning itself, without discrimination, so I love this profession of being an actor, in which one must learn for a lifetime. I truly love this work, which allows me to feel free after having spent much of my life, at some point, worrying so much about what others thought—even when it is painful. Thankfully, I have been able to play a wide variety of roles. I am still far from perfect, but I have always given my all with the sole determination to make my characters come alive. As someone once said, I believe that the heart can melt iron. Moving forward, I will become an actor whose progress you can look forward to and whose work you can trust.
