Acting is a new chapter for me, but reading people has been my work for 27 years. I’m a Korean-Australian educator and writer based in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, bringing to the screen a lifetime spent observing how people speak, think and behave. Beyond teaching English, maths and science, I’ve run a coaching college, worked as an education and immigration agent, owned an art gallery and a flower café, sold real estate, worked construction and even delivered paint. Those experiences have taken me into very different worlds and taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life. I speak Australian English and Standard Korean. My recent screen work includes a supporting role in the independent short film The Manual, playing a mysterious homeless man who guides the protagonist to the free world. I’m particularly drawn to roles built on presence, restraint and depth of character.
