About

The reason I want to become an actor is that, even if I did not have the profession of an actor, my life itself would still have me playing the role of myself. I am not making money as an actor yet, but my life already feels like a drama that is still being serialized, so I decided to apply to become an actor. As I have gone through life, I have come to believe that everyone has their own role to play. Perhaps I am someone who was born into the wrong environment and succeeds through self-reliance—that is my hope, at least. I do not know what my fate is, but I believe that if I am ultimately someone who will succeed, I will find a way to succeed somehow. I have not studied acting. If I had money, I would like to attend a famous academy, practice acting, get audition opportunities, and take tests. However, I am currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, and I will be able to remove my braces when I turn 27, so I may be able to begin acting in earnest around then. At present, I am working as a motorcycle delivery rider while undergoing orthodontic treatment. If I succeed as an actor, I will consider it luck. If I have money, I try anything, but it is not easy. I am also studying while working. I do not want to continue doing delivery work forever. I am very thin, with almost no body fat and only muscle. My hips stick out much more than other people’s. To put it simply, I have hardly ever seen anyone with better hips than mine—male or female. My physique is good overall. Is it okay to write my self-introduction like this? There is a 10000-character limit, which I like. Honestly, if I am told to be honest, I can write everything. Perhaps when a producer is looking for someone to take on a certain role, they need to truly understand that person in order to know whether they fit the role. So the longer I write, the more information there is—probably. When I was in elementary and middle school, I was bullied and harassed at school, and I was also hit at home. Because I did not want to burden my parents, who had no money, I endured the bullying. I played a lot of games. When I played, I could forget reality and focus only on the game, and it was fun. I also watched a lot of anime, such as One Piece, as well as internet broadcasts and YouTube. I dreamed of becoming a BJ. However, when I was a minor, I had no money, so I could not properly pursue it, and my parents did not send me to academies because of the cost. At that time, I did not feel the importance of studying at all, and I think my environment itself made it impossible to study. Since my dream was to become a BJ, I was even less interested in studying. I wasted a lot of time as a minor. I briefly dabbled in video editing and played a lot of games, especially Minecraft and Overwatch. These days, I do not play games at all. After becoming an adult, I had an opportunity to avoid military service by working for three years at a defense company. I worked at a small or medium-sized company, earning only 1.8 million won a month. The work was so physically demanding that, at the time, I was doing the job I wanted to do least out of everything I had ever done. I endured that difficult, physically taxing work for seven months and enlisted in the military at 20. I thought it would be a waste of my life to spend three years in a place like that. In the military, I learned about investing. Until then, I had been conditioned to think that stocks and things like that were gambling. After hearing people talk about how much they had made through investing, I also started trading stocks and coins. Unfortunately, the exact time I started was a market peak, so I lost badly. While I was in the military, I could not make rational judgments at all. In short, I kept losing money because I invested while I was practically out of my mind. When NFTs were becoming extremely popular, I once accidentally sent coins to the wrong place and lost 1.1 million won into thin air. After being discharged, I used the money I had left to install a soundproof booth and started broadcasting, but it did not go well, so I quit. After that, I tried to work in insurance, but even after earning the certification, nothing I said was persuasive. I looked too young and was also young, so I gave up on insurance. At the time, I had no money, so I borrowed 1 million won from my team leader and repaid it by working consecutive night shifts at a Coupang logistics center. After that, I worked at Tire Bank for about eight months and quit. While working there, I saw actor Kim Min-jae in person. At the time, I looked at him thinking, “Oh, he looks like someone I’ve seen somewhere before.” That was probably the first time I seriously thought about acting as a profession. After quitting Tire Bank, I wanted to earn money so I could move out of my parents’ home and live on my own. At the time, I thought leaving a job shortly after starting it would be disrespectful to the person who had hired me, so I began delivery work. I made deliveries on snowy and rainy days on a motorcycle I had been scammed into buying, and there were many times when I nearly had accidents. There were also many times when I avoided accidents purely because I was lucky. At the time, I loved Black Combat so much that I wanted to become a combat-sports athlete. Since I was going to live on my own anyway, I wanted to train as a fighter at a famous gym in Seoul. At 24, I registered at a combat-sports gym near my studio apartment in Seoul and worked every day while paying expensive personal-training and athlete-program fees. Eventually, my body could not keep up, and I was unable to train properly. I thought this was not my destiny. I had planned everything, but I had never considered that my body might be too weak to endure it. I thought that if I could not even withstand this, then it was not my fate. Since it would take several years to make good money in combat sports, during which I would not be able to save much, I decided that instead of continuing as an athlete, I should just work. Every sport requires a great deal of money. Trying to do it without support was extremely difficult for me. I personally had a lot of talent—especially for combat sports—but I was working and training every day. At one point, my arm seemed to have been slightly twisted by a Brazilian jiu-jitsu technique. It was not serious enough to require a hospital visit, but I should have rested. Since I could still move my arm, I continued working and training. When you are a combat-sports athlete, you train even when you are in pain unless an injury seriously interferes with training. Other athletes do the same. The biggest reason I ultimately gave up was money. At the time, I worked weekends at a charcoal grill restaurant and weekdays in the kitchen of an oven-chicken restaurant with no ventilation, where the air could catch fire when the torch was turned on. If I did not work, I could not pay my personal-training fees, support myself, or pay the gym fees. In truth, I was ambitious. I wanted both money and training. I was greedy; my body simply could not keep up. I always work very hard to avoid getting injured during training. But I think it was fate. Perhaps I gave up combat sports so I could pursue acting. People have always told me to become an actor. “An actor?” “You should act?” Honestly, I think I might suit acting. I do have a bit of a protagonist complex. It might even be a mental illness. At 25, while doing delivery work, I realized that the fact I had managed to do it before was really a matter of luck. These days, I feel as if I have already used up the luck I had. No matter how well I ride my motorcycle, I am often put in danger because of other people. I can technically deliver in the rain, but I do not ride because of cars. There are too many people who drive as if they are deliberately trying to hit you. I wanted to quit delivery work quickly and move into video editing, so I bought a computer and monitor. But these days, properly learning requires paying a considerable amount for classes or lessons. I did not have spare money, so I bought basic video-editing books for Premiere Pro and After Effects 2026 on Coupang for 24000 won and am learning from them. I think that if someone is truly the protagonist, they need experiences they cannot tell other people about. Special experiences help you understand what kind of person you are. I think life itself is the process of discovering what you should do in this world and what kind of being you are. Anyway, after giving up combat sports and working in Seoul, I met someone. I bet my life on that person, and ultimately I was scammed. I sold my computer, used the money to rent a room in a gosiwon outside the capital area, worked six days a week at a Coupang logistics center, and paid off my debts. I worked at Coupang for two months, then returned to delivery work. I received the money that had been agreed upon as a settlement after I filed a fraud complaint, added my own money, and rented a monthly room. I made a deal with my parents. Since I did not have a credit card, they paid for a computer tower and monitor with their credit card on the condition that I would pay the monthly installments. I am studying now. To be honest, I do not spend 100% of my time studying. I sometimes wonder whether my brain itself is already damaged, because it is extremely difficult for me to exercise complete restraint. Still, I do not drink or smoke, I am not dating, I do not meet friends, I do not go out to have fun, and I do not play games. I think that is quite a lot of restraint. I have to keep controlling myself almost as if I am brainwashing myself just to maintain some semblance of balance in my life. One thing I am sure of is that the saying that your environment shapes you is true. If you are in a crazy environment, you keep becoming crazier. When I was living in a gosiwon, I was scammed, and even after that, I trusted someone else and was scammed again—this time for about 1.3 million won. I gave up because it was money I would never get back. Your environment is truly frightening. Even if it takes time, as long as I do not get into an accident while doing delivery work, I will definitely reach my goals. I have tried all sorts of things to get support from other people, but no one supported me. I am tired of it too. I now think I will simply earn the money myself and achieve my goals. As for dying—if I were to die tomorrow, what would I think? Honestly, I have nothing, so I do not think I would feel anything. If I die, I die. I do not feel disappointed at all, and I have no regrets. These days, because I think about it so often, it sometimes feels as if I am creating dangerous situations by telling myself, “Just die already.” When that happens, I survive through physical ability, and my self-esteem rises a lot each time. Even when I become intoxicated with my own abilities, I remind myself not to get cocky. I absolutely do not want dangerous situations to keep happening, so I always try to remain humble. Honestly, when I overcome situations in which other people would simply have an accident, I feel something like, “Huh? I survived that too? I’ll prepare something even tougher next time—try getting through this too.” ㅋㅋ For now, I cannot become an actor. First, I need to cure this severe rhinitis, but I do not have the spare money. It feels like a waste. When I bought and took rhinitis medicine before, it only improved temporarily before becoming severe again, so I think the cost would be even higher this time. The problem is that even if I became an actor, coughing and having a runny nose would create a major disaster on set. So, honestly, things feel rather bleak right now. Just ㅋㅋ I do not want some vague kind of success. I believe that if you make a plan and accomplish it step by step, it is not a dream but an achievable goal. That is how I have lived so far. My failures came from meeting the wrong people, trying to rely on others, and trying to entrust my life to someone else. It would have been wonderful if I had met the right people, but what can I do? Even those experiences were part of my fate, and going through them is what made me who I am today. They made me stronger and harder to break. I used to be weak. Honestly, I am still physically weak ㅋㅋ. Because I am undergoing orthodontic treatment, there are many restrictions on what I can eat, and it limits the kinds of other work I can do. That is why I do delivery work. Logistics-center work also has many disadvantages, so delivery and logistics work seem more or less the same. Delivery is slightly easier, at least as long as I do not get into an accident. Because I am tall, I worked at Coupang for two months, six days a week. Before I quit, my duties changed to arranging products down at the very bottom. It was not only the bottom level, but whenever I did that kind of work, my body was put under too much strain, so I quit. My body could not keep up, and I could not continue working six days a week. After doing some other logistics-center work, I switched to delivery full-time. It paid more than working six days a week at the logistics center, so I have continued doing delivery work full-time up to now. However, as the weather has become cooler, there is much less work on weekdays and the pay is poor, so these days I sometimes wonder whether I should find logistics-center or other work on weekdays. Today, it rained all day, so I did not go outside at all. I had worked all weekend and wanted to let my body rest. I had planned to deliver during the evening peak, but I did not because of the rain. When it rains, it is extremely difficult to avoid danger through physical skill alone. You have to leave everything to luck and pray that other cars do not hit you. I do not want to stake my life on other people. In reality, it is the same even when it is not raining, but the difference between rain and no rain is truly like heaven and earth. The danger level makes a quantum leap—seriously ㅋㅋ. A little rain is fine. Someone might think, “What about people who deliver well even in the rain? You just do not want to do it.” But it is luck. Just luck. Even when it is not raining, you can have an accident if your luck is bad. When it rains, the probability of an accident increases. My luck is inconsistent, so if I get into an accident while delivering, all the money I earned from delivery disappears anyway ㅋㅋ. It all goes toward living expenses and installment payments, so how much could I possibly save? But if you have an accident, it is a real accident. Your life simply becomes even bleaker. So when doing delivery work, the number-one priority is not getting into an accident. I say that, but I run red lights more than half the time. Delivery work earns pocket change, but you have to keep accumulating that pocket change quickly for it to become money. That is why I run red lights. If I obey every signal, I cannot earn anything. Do I need to care about people insulting me? They are not the ones paying me or responsible for my livelihood. What stresses me more than being insulted is not earning as much money as I need, or not earning money at all. That is the most stressful thing. If there is one way I have changed, it is probably my attitude toward money. That is exactly the right way to put it. In the past, I spent tens of millions of won recklessly. I saved money in the military and earned 12 million won while working at 20—anyway, I recklessly spent more than 20 million won. I did not understand the value of money. Now, though, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ—what can I do? What is past is past. At 25, I do think I have achieved a lot in a short period of time. I started from a completely negative position and changed my circumstances so drastically that even the person who scammed me would be shocked. That person once asked me whether I was not the protagonist. At the time, I said, “The scammer is the protagonist, and I am only a lucky supporting character,” but inside, I naturally felt that I was the protagonist. Honestly, I think there are many people more remarkable than me. If I lived according to my circumstances, I would probably have to go do labor work with room and board ㅋㅋ. Maybe it is because I set goals that are simply too big for who I am.
