The foundation of my voice began on the theater stages of my high school and university drama clubs. I repeatedly trained in diaphragmatic breathing and vocal projection to deliver lines to the back of the audience without a microphone. Through this training, I developed the ability to maintain my energy without straining my throat, even during long lines and highly emotional scenes. Starting in 2022, I built a foundation in vocal projection and acting at Voice to Voice. At The Real Voice Acting Academy, I continued training in animation dubbing, adapting my performance to the flow of the video and the character. In 2024, I gained experience with professional studio recording and sample production at Storyism Recording Studio, learning microphone distance, breathing, and recording technique. I am currently studying a broad vocal range and three-dimensional character development at Blue Tree Entertainment, expanding the solid breath control I developed on stage into performances across a variety of characters. I have developed the habit of recording the same line repeatedly until I achieve the expression I want, then listening back to my voice to examine differences in tone, breathing, and emotion. When given direction, I do not simply reread the line. I first analyze what needs to change, try several approaches, and persistently incorporate the revisions into my performance. On the other hand, my focus on perfecting my own performance sometimes caused me to overlook the flow of the scene as a whole or my connection with the other role. To address this, during team dubbing practice I analyzed not only my own lines, but also the other role’s lines and the context of the scene, training to match timing and emotion while listening to my colleagues’ voices. I now consider completing a scene through connection with the other performers more important than standing out on my own.
