Father!＞, which will carry on the emotion of the original production, we look forward to seeing your wealth of experience blossom into outstanding performances. 📌 About the Company and History “Passion without hesitation, real stories beginning on stage” Creative Collective Chang is a performing arts organization founded in January 2025 to break down the boundaries between genres—including theater, musicals, and nonverbal performance—and pursue new challenges. We are not simply a group that produces performances. Centered around four keywords—people, joy, creation, and space—we explore possibilities on stage and serve as a creative laboratory that creates performances alive with the audience. Although we are a small organization with a short history, we take pride in our solid production skills and capabilities, comparable to those of any other group. Father!＞ (revival) Genre: Human comedy Run: September 30, 2026 (Wed) ~ November 1, 2026 (Sun) No Monday performances / 1 performance on weekdays, 2 performances on weekends (38 performances planned in total) Venue: Hansung Art Hall, Hall 2 📌 Synopsis “We’re friends who have been together for 30 years, before we were priests.” One day, a week before the silver jubilee commemorating the 25th anniversary of their ordination as priests. Three fellow priests—Choi Thomas, Yang Peter, and Seo Raphael—who are classmates and colleagues, gather at the rectory for drinks. At the drinking table, reunited after a long time, alcohol loosens their tongues, and words they had been unable to say, along with long-held resentments, begin to spill out. The solid friendship they have shared for more than 30 years gradually begins to crack... Will they be able to get through next week’s silver jubilee celebration safely? 📌 Artistic Direction Although this work tells the story of Catholic priests, it is not a play that preaches religious doctrine or emphasizes faith. They may wear the heavy robes of priests, but they are also ordinary human beings just like us—hurt, jealous, and constantly clashing. The childish yet fierce verbal battles characteristic of friends of 30 years unfold as a “comedy” that offers the audience plenty of cheerful laughter, but the central theme at the end of the uproar is ultimately a warm story of “conflict and reconciliation.” Anyone who can portray the essence of humanity with wit and an open mind, without being bound by political or religious viewpoints, is welcome. 📌 Casting and Eligibility To ensure a stable performance and close ensemble work, we are currently aiming to form three pairs (a total cast of 9 actors). Roles: Choi Thomas, Yang Peter, Seo Raphael Gender: Male Age: 45 to 60 (born 1965–1980); both emerging and experienced actors We are looking for people who: (Preferred qualifications) Understand deep bonds and conflicts between people, as well as the humor that serves as the lubricant of relationships, through diverse social experiences Have experience taking responsibility for an extended period as a leader in an organization, group, or workplace Even without professional acting experience, have the passion to express their genuine inner strength on stage 📌 Pay (Performance Fee) Please refer to the casting notice 📌 Audition Schedule and Location Application period: ~ June 7 (Sun), 24:00; applications accepted by email First-round results: June 9 (Tue); successful applicants will be contacted individually and provided with assigned sides Second-round auditions: June 11 (Thu) ~ June 14 (Sun), rehearsal studios in Yeoksam-dong or Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu (successful applicants will receive separate notice) Assigned sides & prepared monologue (including a relaxed meeting) Final results: June 22 (Mon); individual notification Rehearsals begin: June 29 (Mon) ~ detailed schedule to be coordinated later ※ To reduce applicants’ 부담, the second-round audition will not be a formal evaluation, but will focus on a comfortable meeting to get to know one another and a brief reading. ※ Additional auditions may be held if necessary.
