Description

You'll be appearing as yourself. This is a documentary series, so there's no script and no character to play — you're telling your own story, in your own words, on camera. Camera presence matters. Acting experience is welcome but not required. ABOUT THE PROJECT Algorithm Burnout is a documentary series about identity drift — what happens when you start performing a version of yourself for an algorithm, and the work stops feeling like yours. Part 1 was filmed in New York City with seven participants. Part 2 puts Korea and the United States side by side. Same platforms, same algorithms, same pressure to perform — but two very different sets of expectations about what a career is supposed to look like, what family and community expect of you, and what it costs to choose the uncertain path. We want the Korean half of that conversation. Not a translated version of the American story — the version that only makes sense here. Need to be fluent in English.

Algorithm Burnout is a documentary series about identity drift — what happens when you start performing a version of yourself for an algorithm, and the work stops feeling like yours. Part 1 was filmed in New York City with seven participants. Part 2 puts a world perspective and the United States side by side. Same platforms, same algorithms, same pressure to perform — but two very different sets of expectations about what a career is supposed to look like, what family and community expect of you, and what it costs to choose the uncertain path. We want the global view of that conversation. Not a translated version of the American story — the version that only makes sense here. You would be joining an existing cast of seven, already filmed and part of the project. This is not a pilot or a concept — Part 1 is complete and Part 2 is in production.
